Christmas Eve

Gathering around the table on Christmas Eve, we lit the candles on the Advent Wreath.
Dan shared a narrative from a book of Christmas stories.
We read Luke 2 and  then about the wise men in Matthew.  Jena shared her testimony with us.  We sang some carols.
There was such a peaceful feeling in the home, we weren't ready to move on to other things yet.
Jon suggested we go in and sing more carols around the piano.  The next half hour was filled with  reverent singing which evolved into some  silly opera-style vocalizing, with attempts  (sometimes very successful ) at harmonizing.  We had a great time.

After that it was time to open the new PJ's and  model them, followed by the favorite - homemade eggnog.
