Food for Thought

Speaking in our Stake Conference today, a Sister said she feels that we are the marshmallow generation raising cotton candy kids.  She was referring to parents who try to completely protect their children from trials and difficulties.  Instead,  we should be praying for them to have challenges so they learn to be tough when they face difficult times.  Regarding our responsibility to be a good example in facing trials  she  asked, "Do they see us pray more earnestly, or do they see us whine more earnestly?"  !
