As I was looking through the
Christmas photos
deciding what to begin with
I saw these.
Jonathan was serving his mission in Bernburg during this Christmas season.
Two families,
the Schützes
and their daughter's family,
the Gäblers
took great care of him over that time.
Elder Schütze emailed Dan and I
suggesting we send a letter or email to him
which he would print on nice paper
for a Christmas surprise for Jonathan.
On Christmas morning - after gift opening
I checked my email
and there were about 8 photos from Elder Schütze
of Jonathan,
many of them taken while he opened and read our letters.
I cannot find words to describe how happy and thankful I am
for this thoughtful gift of printing these letters,
and sending these photos from
Jonathan's Christmas Eve,
or Heiligabend.
His companion is Elder Lichner (Lish-neh) from Stuttgart, Germany area.
